Catherine Saffels is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia and is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia.
APPROACH: Cathi assists clients in developing and putting into action a vision for change by using interventions specific to each individual. Her approach to counseling is positive, using solution focused, cognitive behavioral, and family systems therapy. Her clients find her to be a caring and encouraging ally as they work together toward change. SPECIALTY AREAS: Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Trauma, Anger, Parenting and Family Issues, Marriage/Relationship Problems, Divorce Recovery, and Premarital Counseling. She works with adults, over age 18. CHRISTIAN COUNSELING: Cathi’s education and experience uniquely qualify her to provide counseling that is professional and faith-based. She is a Christian who is respectful of all faiths. Her approach to counseling is to support your spiritual journey as you pursue your goals. EDUCATION: Cathi holds two masters degrees: Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Argosy University, and Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She also has extensive post-graduate training in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. EXPERIENCE: Cathi has thirty years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. She has worked in programs for victims of domestic violence and other crimes, parenting skills, marital and premarital counseling, and substance abuse, as well as individual counseling in both secular and faith-based settings. She has training and experience in delivering telehealth services. |
